Today, during my daily walk, I noticed two things that demonstrate rapid response to the WorkGroup's and attention by the Miami-Dade Water and Sewers Dept. The two most critical items that were identified during the joint tour of the sewage facilities in the CCM golf courses. were corrected. I would especially like to thank Marisela J. Aranguiz, P.E. the Assistant Director for Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Dept. for her continuing attention to matters that affect our community.

The derelict facility located on the FP&L right of way was secured. The gate to the facility was chained and locked. The two exposed sump access holes were covered. (See Below)

Good evening,

We thank you for bringing to our attention the concerns related to the Sanitary Pump Stations located within the Country Club of Miami Golf Course and have already begun working on addressing the immediate concerns. I will pass the information below to our operations group and will inform the Country Club of Miami WorkGroup of progress / updates on a biweekly basis.

Best regards.

Marisela

Hello All,

I would like to offer a hearty thank you to all the employees of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (M-DW&SD) that made a point to meet the Country Club of Miami WorkGroup in order to review sewer facilities in the CCM Square Mile. We find their willingness to listen and transparently address problems commendable. The meeting comprised of a joint tour of sewage lift stations: 407, 408, 409, the undocumented station adjacent to the FP&L the substation and derelict facilities on the FP&L right of way. Other facilities may have been reviewed after the Workgroup’s departure.
