This document was presented at the Access Management Meeting for Miami Gardens Drive on December 12, 2019. This, perhaps, is the future of Miami Gardens Drive.

The history of land-use in this area, especially in regard to the golf course, has a long and colorful history. The documents contained in this article document a portion of that history that is critical to Country Club of Miami residents. They are as follows:

December 30, 1987-CCM Declaration of Restrictive Covenants

In part, this document required that certain lands be used for golf and related recreational purposes. This restriction ran for a period of 30 years and was renewable at 10 year intervals thereafter.

April 5, 1988-Country Club of Miami Golf Course Acquisition/Refurbishment Special Taxing District

This document established a special taxing district for Country Club of Miami residents so that the Miami–Dade County could acquire the golf course land.

January 25, 2000 - CCM-Amendment to the Declaration of Restrictive Covenants

This document required that certain lands be used for golf and related recreational purposes in perpetuity rather than 30 years.
